Lawrence Woodworks is a furniture design studio owned and operated by Peter Lawrence.

Although the studio officially began its journey in 2015, Peter’s fascination with the transformation of wood into functional and beautiful furniture started much earlier. Back in high school, he read a magazine article featuring a Willow Adirondack Chair, a piece that captured his imagination deeply. Inspired by that article, the very next day, he ventured into the woods and crafted a simple stick chair as a gift for his parents.

Since that pivotal moment, Peter has been driven by a desire to bring beauty into people’s everyday lives through thoughtfully built home and business staples. Instead of a mass-produced item found in thousands of homes, Peter’s work is custom built to last and be handed down from generation to generation. He understands the special joy and comfort that come from having furniture that’s not only aesthetically pleasing but also thoughtfully made and comfortable enough to actually be used on a regular basis, and he wants to share that experience with as many people as possible. Each piece he creates is art, but this isn’t art that’s only meant to be looked at - this is art to incorporate into your home and lifestyle for years to come. This blend of practicality and artistry forms the foundation of Lawrence Woodworks. We spend much of our time sitting - eating, reading, talking, working, relaxing, planning, administrating - ‘mundane’ activities that touch every moment of our daily lives. It’s Peter’s goal to enhance those moments with beautiful, well-crafted pieces.

In addition to tables and chairs, we specialize in a broad range of storage solutions, including nightstands, dressers, and cabinets. Each piece we create is customizable in terms of size, color, and wood, allowing us to tailor each item perfectly to your space and style.
